Hagtak is a construction company founded in the year 1991. The headquarters of the company are based in Hafnarfjörður, a few miles from Reykjavik, with projects undertaken across the length and breadth of Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
Hagtakis a multi-disciplined organisation that has mostly focused on dredging and harbour constructions, with specific expertise in rock drilling and the use of underwater explosives.
Through our highly qualified and experienced engineers, Hagtak is able to offer project management and consultancy on a broad range of complex projects. Moreover the company is equipped with the latest technology to undertake harbour research.
On a lighter note: the drilling platform “Black” was used for shooting the movie “Flag’s of our father’s” by Clint Eastwood.

Scalloway port (06-06-2011)
Hagtak has started to dredge the harbour in Scalloway by drill and plast.
The project is due to be finished in January 2012
Hagtak start dredging the port í Torshav (01-02-2011)
Hagtak has started to drill and blast Tinganes in Thorshavn port. The project will make it easier for the Ship Norræna to manuvoure in the port.
